Brain Fog: How It Plagues Us & How Spoonies Can Fight Back – Episode 3 of the Podcast!

The brain fog spoonies experience is something that is so hard to explain to those that have never experienced it. We use all kinds of euphemisms to try to get people to grasp the confusion, disorientation, forgetfulness, clumsiness, and all the things that come with fogginess and chronic illness…but really, until they feel it, they just don’t get it.

And who would want them to get it? We wouldn’t wish out illnesses on our worst enemy? (Yeah, we heard you inside whisper “Maybe my worst enemy…” But no! Put that thought away!! None of us need bad karma! We’ve got enough going on!!!)

However, we still need to find a a way to cope with this crazy brain fog. On this week’s Chronic Spoonful Podcast episode, we talk about how brain fog has impacted us and others with chronic illnesses–and the crazy things we’ve done when we’ve been in brain fog mode.

We also talk about things we do to make sure we don’t lose track of the important things due to our clogged and foggy minds. We’ve all found coping mechanisms when we’re just not at 100%. We share the strategies we use, but also those that others recommend to stay on top of things even when our brains aren’t quite where they need to be.
